**About the role**

The Mission Development Manager is responsible for leadership and operational management of the Church Engagement and Regional Engagement teams and for advising the Executive General Manager - Church and Community Engagement on all matters pertaining to churches. You will lead a team that is supporting and partnering with our churches in all aspects of their mission and ministry, forming and equipping leaders in our churches and organisation, and identifying and promoting missional initiatives across the movement.

The Mission Development Manager will be a contributing, integral member of the Church and Community Engagement team and will support activities aligned with the strategic direction of, and consistent with, the mission and values of Churches of Christ.

**About you**

You have proven leadership and management skills with the capacity to deliver results, and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to effectively engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You have well-developed problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to manage the challenges of change and innovation. You exhibit the ability and willingness to support a culture of safety, legislative compliance, quality and continuous improvement. You will understand the principles and values of Christianity and a demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision and values of Churches of Christ.

To be suitable for this position, your qualifications will consist of:

- Qualification in Theology or relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Able to be endorsed as a Ministering Person of Churches of Christ in Queensland and demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ and the authority of the Christian Bible.
- Five years of active participation in a leadership or ministry role in a Christian Church or organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to model a missional lifestyle and demonstrated experience communicating Christian beliefs and convictions within the Australian context.
- Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Pre-Requisites
- Current driver’s licence.
- Possess a current National Police Certificate - or the ability to acquire.
- Possess Working with Children (Blue Card) - or the ability to acquire.
