**THE WHO, THE WHAT AND THE WHERE**

Our client is an electronics and electrical systems provider with a warehouse in Norwest, servicing the electrical infrastructure and industrial sectors. They pride themselves on their customer focus, amazing technical competence and international standard quality assurance. They form a part of a multi-national electronics and communications company, who are steadily growing into an international power-house in the technology sector. The warehouse exports parts to mining and power companies across Australia and the world. It’s a newly created role working Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. The idea is that you will be able to step in and take the reigns if someone is sick or on leave, and keep the operation humming.

**WHAT’S INVOLVED?**

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Storeperson will be responsible for receiving, handling and dispatching goods coming into, or going out of stores. Your varied role will see you take on the following responsibilities:

- Record and label goods received and dispatched
- Inspect inward products and parts for packing and product damage and record completion of Inward Inspection
- Record and process product details using Goods Receipt Notes
- Final inspection of products before dispatch
- Check accuracy of picked goods against dispatch notes
- Prepare and dispatch products and documentation including ensuring integrity of outgoing goods
- Participate in stock takes and manage stock rotation
- Record repairs
- Assess stock product quality periodically
- Direct internal deliveries
- Record and action customer complaints and supplier issues
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift
- Instruct personnel on the correct use of forklifts
- Train casual staff in procedures
- Ensure quality assurance procedures are carried out
- Create / update Standard Operating Procedure manual
- Participate in OHS activities such as inspections, risk management processes, investigations, OHS meetings

**DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?**

This is a role for a reliable, fit and energetic person, who is motivated by seeing the job well-done, and understanding how your job affects the business as a whole. Previous warehouse experience is a plus but they are willing to train with the right attitude. As you will be dealing with a lot of people, including Management, Sales, Accounting, Suppliers and Customers, your communication skills must be excellent and your ability to organise information needs to be spot-on; you should have a logístical mind. Your attention to detail must be unquestionable, and you should be very comfortable working in a small team (of 2), whilst also recognising you are part of a larger team. Additionally, you will need to be able to tick all of these boxes as well:

- A current **forklift licence**:

- Reliable and punctual
- Good attention to detail and care when packing boxes, tetris skills a must
- It’s still quite manually operated so lots of paperwork, but they are in the process of changing the structure to a new software system so basic written and computer skills are required
- Competent with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with a bar coding stock system is desirable but not essential
- **You will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test **in order to be successful in this role, to be paid for by the company
- An **Australian Police Clearance**will also be required for this role, which will be reimbursed by the company on successful placement
