Choice Consultancy is currently in search of a support worker who possesses a good comprehension of head injuries and their potential impact on an individual's behavior.

You must have

Current police check

Any mental health background would be preferable

Drivers licence and reliable car to take the client out into the community

Any knowledge of schizophrenia would be beneficial as this client is diagnosed with this.

Clear English Speaking

Time is very important to him so if you think you may have other commitments that will possibly get in the way, please dont apply

If you meet this criteria and have a very easy going attitude ( eg nothing phases you etc) please apply.

Also, its essential that your able to be very mindful that he does have frustration due to his head injury. I will fill you in more prior to starting.

We are a company so please note the pay rate before applying.

Thank you for taking the time to read this job description as its vital that excellent communication skills are there ( due to his head injury will sometimes cause him confusion at times so its important his support worker is very much 'on the ball')

The clients mental capacity is mínimal but can still understand when plans that are arranged, dont happen the way they should, which in turn can cause him more distress.

Im detailing a bit in this description as its highly important to know his needs are very much vital to make the support workers job more easy.

Being able to switch off any issues you may have with his lifestyle, is paramount.

He is into:
Heavy metal music, POPS figurines, Sports ( specifically basketball, soccer, slide racing, rap music)

His balance isnt the best either due to his head injury.

He doesnt like having his time wasted. He is very happy go lucky type but he has his bad days like we all do.
