**Job Summary**:
The HR Manager is responsible for providing high level support and
specialist HR advice to ensure Martinus Rail and its ventures are meeting company, client, and regulatory requirements.
The HR Manager is responsible for providing generalist HR advice and support across the business on all aspects of the HR function including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, remuneration and benefits, performance management, retention, and organisational planning.
**Key Job Tasks & Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the development of HR / IR plans for projects and core business
- Support line management in the implementation and introduction of processes that achieve role clarity, accountability, and a consistent understanding of individual, team, and project goals
- Support and coach managers in all people related matters, legislative requirements, and best practice;
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and lead time of Human Resources activities
- Coach and support line management to make them better people leaders
- Development, implementation and management of Human Resources strategies, policies, systems, and processes
- Actively contribute to the minimisation of turnover
- Provide support in the alignment & communication on remuneration & benefits across the business
- Provide HR coaching services to the supervisory and wider workforce to implement HR best practice
- Work closely with the Training and Compliance Manager to ensure employee training requirements are met and maintained effectively
- Collate information and prepare submissions for working and permanent residency visa nominations
- Work with the HR Advisor on related submissions for tenders, proposals, EOI’s etc as requested by the Submissions team
- Monthly HR Dashboard Reporting
- Mentor and guide HR Advisor in more complex Human Resources / People & Culture practices.
**Skills and Qualification required**:
- Must have Certificate IV or higher in Human Resources
- Demonstrated Human Resource experience within the rail, civil or construction mining industry
- Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain positive relationships
- Capability to work autonomously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective internal and external stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
