**About the role**
The Banquet Team Leader will lead a team of Event staff and be responsible for all front of house operations for functions and events.
You will deliver a high-quality service that ensures every client receives what has been promised and our guests are left impressed. As the first point of contact for all function greetings/welcome, room setup, delivery of scheduled F&B and resolving all client issues, you and your team of Event staff will work together to achieve desired outcomes.
The Banquet Team Leader will be coached and mentored by the Banquet Manager to ensure that Events onsite achieve a 5 star experience to our guests.
This role will be paid at Food & Beverage classification-Level 5 of the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020.

- Ensure all team members are familiar with the runtime of an event and are competent in offering and up-selling products.
- Liaise with catering team to ensure service is prompt and on time and recover from any obstacles seamlessly.
- Possess superior conflict resolution skills to ensure client satisfaction
- Assist and support direct team members and always lead by example.
- Manage RSA in a professional and proficient manner.

Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in set-up for all types of functions as per the clients’ specifications
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, take direction and work efficiently to strict deadlines with a sense of urgency.
- Possess a sound level of written and oral communications skills and attention to detail.
- Possess a strong work ethic and is flexible to work a rotating shift roster, including evenings, weekends, public holidays and as required.
- Lead by example and manage staff effectively and efficiently
- Ability to professionally approach difficult conversations and complaints with positive outcomes.
- Commitment to providing a quality customer service to clients
