About the role
Join our Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) as a one of our Cyber Security Specialists in this exciting permanent position. You’ll get the opportunity to work with leading edge technologies in a multi cloud environment (AWS, Azure, and Google) and play an active part in uplifting our associated SOC processes and capabilities. Assisting us as we take our SOC to the next level you will be involved in detecting and analysing cyber threats and events and assisting with incident response activities. You will join a welcoming and supportive squad who enjoy sharing knowledge and learning from one another.
This is a 24 month fixed term contract (you’ll get an annual salary plus paid leave plus all employee benefits). Potential for it to become permanent in the future.
**Examples of responsibilities**:
Support the day-to-day operations of the SOC team
Monitor SOC Mailboxes, Consoles, and Incident and Request Queues and take appropriate actions.
Detailed analysis and investigation of cyber security events and incidents
Monitoring SOC threat feeds, analysing, and sharing relevant intelligence.
Responding to cyber security incidents and threats
Investigate escalations from internal and external stakeholders to determine root cause and identify any required follow up actions
Assist with the identification of potential vulnerabilities and the compilation of recommendations to manage identified risks
Working with our engineering function to automate day to day tasks and processes wherever possible
This role will require you to be on an on-call roster, which you will be compensated for.
About you
Ideally some experience in Security Operations but if you are passionate about building a career in Cyber Security and can demonstrate an aptitude for detailed analysis with the ability to take ownership of problems and drive them through to conclusion then this role may be right for you.
Good understanding of computer networking, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms and services.
If you have any of these certifications it will be looked on favourably CISSP, CCNA, CCSP (ISC)2, Splunk ES, and AWS Certified Security.
