**Caterpillar Resource Industry is looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join the team based in either Perth or Brisbane CBD.**

The position primarily supports a key segment of our Resources Industries portfolio in Australia, working as part of a global diverse team driving our people strategy.
This position will report to the Senior Human Resources Manager based in Newcastle.
**Principle duties and responsibilities**:
**_Responsibilities vary, but may include any of the following: _**
- Be a trusted advisor to the leadership team within the Resource Industries group
- Deploy strategic HR and diversity and inclusion initiatives to improve department results.
- Ability to lead local and global projects on people matters.
- In partnership with leaders, provide talent development solutions to improve employee engagement, leadership acumen and business results.
- Assist managers in addressing individual and organisational effectiveness issues.
- Partner with our talent attraction team and hiring managers to source top talent
**Qualifications**:
- University degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Prior working experience in human resources function
- Must be proficient in the full MS office suite
- Labour law and regulations governing the Human Resources function.
- Sound understanding of human resources policies, practices, and procedures.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse situations, make decisions and take measured risks using available data as well as insight.
- Proven ability to maintain high-level of confidentiality and dealing with sensitive issues.
- Experience with Workday, Teams and SharePoint is desired or other similar people management systems.
