You will lead, mentor, manage and develop the capability of the regional team to provide high quality services and customer service excellence, and ensure optimum team performance.

You will contribute to business goals by ensuring operational and financial performance targets are met, including; workforce planning, asset management, contractual requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and project management outcomes for the Regional Office. You will maintain a strong knowledge government policy and legislation, evaluate risk, commercial return, maintenance liability and strategic portfolio assessment.

You will manage, monitor and report on all aspects of the regional budget including repairs and maintenance, operating expenditure and resources, promoting a team environment and culture to maximise efficiency and effectiveness for the region’s deliverables.

You will establish, maintain and strengthen working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that are effective collaborative and strategic, engaging with stakeholders and representing DHA at various forums. You will respond professionally and sensitively to escalated complex issues and stakeholder concerns whilst representing DHA’s interests. You will provide a high level of specialist, professional and technical expertise to a range of internal and external stakeholders and exercise strong decision making and judgement in relation to portfolio and provisioning matters to ensure portfolio outcomes are delivered within the region.

- Engage and lead a team to provide high quality customer service to meet organisation/team objectives and business outcomes.
- Manage priorities, organise workloads and meet challenging deadlines under limited direction.
- Display strategic, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills, together with sound judgement and high attention to detail in order to achieve results.
- Take initiative and be innovative in developing new or improved work practices, manage budgets, including managing asset-based decisions in the context of commercial outcomes.
- Evaluate risk in the context of a complex and changing environment and experience dealing with a range of complex and/or contentious matters.
