
Home Care Workers Required for Seniors in Kiama

Bay & Basin Community Resources (BBCR) is a trusted provider of in home and community aged care services in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. Due to an increase in demand for our services we have a number of opportunities for additional Home Care Workers to join our team to provide assistance to Seniors to maintain their independence in their own homes in Kiama and surrounding suburbs. We are seeking individuals who are committed to enhancing the lives of individuals in our communities.
**Description**:
**This Role**:
This role involves visiting clients in their own homes, supporting clients with community access such as shopping, social outing, transport to appointments, or engaging in various individual and group activities at our respite facilities.
**Services may include**:
- Personal care such as assisting with showering, or other personal support and providing medication assistance
- Domestic assistance, such as basic housekeeping and shopping
- Shopping and meal preparation
- Respite and social support, share common interests and provide companionship, help alleviate carer stress
- Cottage respite service
- Community Access
**Skills and Experiences**:
- Reliability and trustworthy
- Compassionate
- An effective communicator with people of all age
- Use initiative and ability to work independently
- Compassionate with a positive attitude
- Eager to learn and willing to embark on further training and development offered
**Applicants must hold (or obtain through recruitment process)**:
- Australian Federal Police clearance (no disclosable outcomes)
- First Aid Certificate
- Completed or in progress - Certificate III Individual Support Ageing, Disability or Home and Community Care (or equivalent qualification)
- Drivers Licence, with safe driving record
- Current car registration & comprehensive insurance
- Working with Children Check Clearance
- COVID 19 vaccination, including booster
