At Pet Circle, we want to create a world where pets and their families are healthy, happy and spend more time together - and we are looking for fantastic people to help us do that
Over the past ten years, we’ve scaled to become one of Australia's Top 5 eCommerce companies and the No.1 player in the Online Pet industry. We will accelerate our growth as we continue on our mission to disrupt the way that pet parents discover and shop for the products they love.
The pet industry is booming (it’s a $15billion dollar industry) and pets are holding bigger spaces in our hearts and homes than ever before. Founded and headquartered in Sydney, our team is now over 700 people strong and are based across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.
**The Opportunity**
We’re in a unique position having invested heavily in our own dedicated delivery fleet. We have an incredible platform from which to test and learn, expand our service offering and truly innovate. This is your opportunity to be part of a market-disrupting logistics operation in a dual
**Fleet Route Planner and Supervisor** role.
**What you'll be doing**
- Allocate drivers to our Pet Circle vehicles to service both transactional and subscription customers in the most efficient and customer-focused way.
- Route and allocate driver runs to ensure our customer expectations are met (balancing both our customer experience and fleet density goals in line with business objectives).
- Liaise with fulfilment team on any return or replacement orders.
- Liaise with sortation team in relation to sorting/staging/loading vehicles for drivers.
- Utilise your strong knowledge of local and rural delivery points to ensure the most effective planning and fleet efficiency.
- Monitor the daily progress of deliveries and returns and troubleshoot problems in the case of any problems, deviations or delays, providing real time support to drivers.
- Monitor and manage transport costs by initiating actions to increase revenue and reduce costs.
- Liaise with customer service team on timely recovery for failed orders to ensure optimal customer experience.
- Comfortable working closely with drivers, drawing feedback to glean opportunities for achieving operational improvements.
- Drive compliance for maintaining health and safety of the drivers in line with COR.
- Provide data driven insights to help drive efficiencies and improvements to achieve business objectives.
- Maintaining dock, thorough vehicle inspection during driver debrief and other ad hoc duties that the role may require.
**Your Ideal Experience**
- Qualification in supply chain, logistics, engineering, business analytics or similar.
- Experience in professional supply chain and logistics or e-commerce experience is highly valued.
- Fleet allocation / transport management experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and drawing insights from data.
- Ability to prepare, report and interpret data sets.
- Professional communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
**Role Location**
As this role is critical to our logistics operation, it will be based onsite working from our Perth fulfilment centre
