_The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Nurse/ Midwifery Manager (Waijungbah Jarjums Service - Identified) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

Lead a multidisciplinary team to provide culturally appropriate and family-centred care.
Oversee operational management of the Waijungbah Jarjums service, ensuring high standards of care.
Oversee the maintenance and development of clinical nursing and midwifery procedures
Provide support and leadership to the team by demonstrating a high level of interpersonal skills
Facilitate access to identified health practitioners and services using telehealth and established referral pathways

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

$132,562 - $143,924 per annum

Co-led and co-designed by the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, Waijungbah Jarjums provides a community based one-stop hub for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and babies across the first 5 years with a continuity of midwifery care group practice, child health nurses, allied health and health workers.
