The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Assistants in Nursing to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide support functions within units or other non-clinical units
- Be allocated to clinical areas within their scope of practice
- Posses a high level of adaptability in working in a variety of clinical settings
- Participate in clinical handover
- Liaise with the Registered Nurse regarding specific activities and outcomes

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part time
- Base salary ranging from $32.23 - $35.29 per hour

About Us
Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Unit (NMSU) is a centralised staffing unit that comprises of permanent, temporary and casual appointed Nurses, Midwives, Undergraduate Students in Nursing (USINs) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN) and is the primary contact for the engagement of external nursing services.
Nurses and Midwives within the unit are supported by the Staffing Unit team including Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator, Clinical Facilitators, Clinical Nurses/Midwives and Administration Officers. NMSU assign Nurses, Midwives, USINs and AINs to units within the GCHHS on a shift by shift basis or on short term temporary contracts.
