**Support Worker - Ipswich (Wheelchair Van Driver) | Immediate Start | 30 Hours/Week**

Are you a compassionate and reliable individual residing in Ipswich, QLD? We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist NDIS participants with transportation to their appointments. This role involves driving a wheelchair-accessible van and ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients.

**Position Details**:

- **Location**: Ipswich, Queensland
- **Employment Type**: Part-time (30 hours per week)
- **Schedule**: Monday to Friday
- **Start Date**: Immediate

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible van to transport NDIS participants to and from appointments.
- Assist clients with boarding and alighting from the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of trips and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
- Provide respectful and empathetic support to clients during transportation.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Must reside in Ipswich, QLD.
- Valid Queensland Driver’s Licence.
- Experience driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is advantageous; however, training will be provided.
- **Certifications & Compliance**:

- **First Aid & CPR Certificate**:

- **Blue Card** (Working with Children)
- **Yellow Card** (NDIS Worker Screening Clearance)
- **Current Driver’s Licence**:

- **Comprehensive Car Insurance**:

- **Authority to Work in Australia**:

- **Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module** (“Quality, Safety and You”)
- **Relevant Qualifications**: Nursing student or holding a Certificate III or IV in Disability, Youth Work, Welfare, Community Services, Mental Health, or other related fields

Pay: $30.00 - $53.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ipswich QLD 4305: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Driving experince: 5 years (preferred)
- Support work : 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
