**How will I help?
**The Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) is looking for a Relationship Manager, at the Associate Director/Director level, to join the Consumer & Industrials Queensland coverage team, which is responsible for high quality origination and delivery of best-in-class customer sales propositions for our client base.

You will drive strategic engagement and pro-active, advice-led, business origination with Westpac’s key institutional clients. You will strive to achieve high levels of year-on-year growth and optimal return on equity, by developing, managing and deepening the relationship with a portfolio of private and publicly listed clients in the Consumer & Industrials sectors.

You will partner with the Customer Insights and Analytics team and collaborate with a range of other internal teams including Credit Risk, Legal, Global Transactional Services, Debt Markets and Compliance to ensure our clients are supported with their needs met and anticipated and are ultimately serviced at an exceptional level.

You will:

- Deepen internal and external relationships with a focus on increasing customer share of wallet through Debt Markets, Global Transaction Banking Solutions and Financial Markets.
- Utilise your corporate finance knowledge, research and analytical capabilities to deliver strategic account plans and client proposals.
- Develop and implement portfolio optimisation strategies/enhancements based on market dynamics and Industry related themes in conjunction with credit and product partners
- Ensure client’s total financing, risk and transactional management needs are anticipated, directly discussed, and participated in as appropriate.

**What do I need?**
You will have proven experience in Corporate Finance and Relationship Management and will have the ability to build strong rapport and sustainable relationships with clients and colleagues across all levels. You will have demonstratable relationship manager skills within Finance and/or Banking with a preference for coverage across Corporate and Institutional clients and will have the ability to successfully lead internal deal teams comprising of product specialists, credit analysts, credit officers and senior executives.

Some further advantageous skills:

- Strong marketing skills and a disciplined approach to achieve set financial targets, whilst maintaining Westpac’s high credit standards.
- Project management skills and credit experience is desirable
- Tertiary qualified with a preference for Business/Finance/Accounting
