**Job Description** About the role**:
We seek self-motivated applicants, who possess good communication skills and can work unsupervised, as well as part of a team. Undertake maintenance and repair work to the school buildings and grounds to ensure it is a safe environment for the school community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Undertake repair/maintenance work as required to school buildings e.g. replacing locks, windows & light bulbs, patching holes, woodwork repairs
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment
- Estimate repair costs and document repairs undertaken
- Handle, store, and distribute goods/materials
- Move equipment/furniture as required
- Upkeep school grounds e.g. mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, disposing of litter
- Assist with school improvements e.g. fencing, paving, gardening projects
- Drive school vehicles as required for registration inspections, repairs and servicing.

**About the School**:
Aspect South East Sydney School provides placement for approximately 180 students on the autism spectrum from ages 4 to 18 years of age. The School’s main sites are at Peakhurst, Marrickville & Loftus, and there are 9 satellite classes within Sydney Catholic Schools and Department of Education Schools across the South East Sydney region of Sydney.

**Qualifications** What we are looking for**:

- Experience in general maintenance of grounds/buildings
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general trade maintenance
- Understanding of machinery/equipment operation relating to building maintenance
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Trade background is desirable
- Own tools required
- Current driver’s licence and use of own vehicle
- Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
- You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
