Principal Environmental Consultant

**The Opportunity**:
**Our well-established and growing team requires an experienced consultant to work alongside the company Directors to assist in managing the team and the business.**

**_ The role includes the following contributions:_**
- contribute on a technical level to environmental consulting projects
- carry out overarching co-ordination of delivery of the full portfolios of projects
- project management of a selection of projects at any given time
- overseeing project management by others in the team
- manage, lead and help to develop the technical team
- manage client relationships
- identify and pursue new project opportunities
- assist in setting and delivering the Business Plan
- contribute to ongoing strategic planning for company growth and diversification
- directly influence and contribute to growth of the team and resources

**About You**:
**_To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate:_**
- relevant tertiary qualification (degree minimum) in environmental science, biology, botany, ecology, environmental management, natural resource management, conservation biology or similar
- a proven track record in leading technical personnel, and in positively influencing the culture, direction, and development of teams
- experience in managing scopes, budgets, schedules, and the technical quality of outputs for environmental consulting projects
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- take pride in delivering high-quality outputs
- enjoy being part of a high-performing and supportive team
- a can-do attitude and willingness to work harmoniously with valued clients and a high-performing and supportive team
- experience in biological (flora and/or fauna) assessments/monitoring programs, in accordance with Western Australian and Commonwealth regulatory guidelines
- environmental impact assessment, approvals and compliance experience in accordance with Western Australian and Commonwealth regulatory guidelines and requirements
- experience in identifying new business opportunities and in undertaking business development and marketing initiatives to pursue such opportunities
- have an established network of colleagues and contacts across a range of industries and sectors in Western Australia
- experience in business strategy and management
- knowledge and experience in business financial management
