**About Us**:
Embark on a journey of advocacy and provide statutory services in contributing to the City’s Town Planning Scheme, Local Planning Strategy, Local Planning Polices and undertake Strategic Planning Projects. Our team works across a spatial distribution of over 560km of zones, reserves and precinct’s structure and control the economic use of land resources including for commercial business, residential, social, and environmental activities. In this role you will be at the forefront of shaping the City’s physical and economic growth for the future as you negotiate agreements, optimise land assets, and navigate intricate planning landscapes.

**What You Will Be Working On**:
In this role, you will leverage your expertise to provide technical guidance to strategic planning projects. You will lead negotiations, develop legal agreements, and ensure compliance with evolving regulations and legislation. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will formulate planning provisions, oversee complex projects, and contribute to the City's strategic vision. Your work will directly impact our community's well-being and future growth.

**About You**:

- Possession of qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent acceptable to the City.
- Experience in a Planning role in Local or State Government or private consultancy practice.
- Considerable experience in administrating Town Planning Schemes (including managing Scheme Amendment Processes), preparation of Local Planning Policies, assessing major structure plans, development proposals and Strategic Planning Projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of role of Local Government in relation to Planning.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict time constraints.
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Possession of Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate.
