**The Role**
The Directorate of Engineering, Explosives Materiel Branch, Land Systems Division, within Defences Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, is seeking a professional, motivated and experienced Information and Records Management Officer to provide support to the Technical Data Unit. Land Systems Division is one of the most dynamic organisation within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group and offers a rewarding career.

The Information and Records Management Officer is responsible for ensuring the Technical Publications Team meets its records and information management obligations, and carries out information support related functions within the Technical Data Unit. The role will entail assisting and performing moderately complex tasks and activities that support the delivery of procedural, operational, administrative and business support activities across Defence. In addition, the role entails developing and maintaining an understanding of Defence’s corporate requirements including legislation, established principles, records management, work practices and procedures necessary to achieve work area outcomes.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Engineering mission is to assure, and assist in ensuring the safety and reliability of Explosive Materiel Branch explosive materiel. An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our specialist Publication Team. The Information and Records Management Officer, will be responsible for the administration support of a technical publications library.

Opportunities will exist for involvement in publication development, data analytics, innovative improvements and reporting capability. You would possess experience in the administration of technical manuals, and including experience in life cycle of records management.

You will be a team player and a ‘people person’ that will engage with staff on records management practices, and publication methodology. Your excellent interpersonal, negotiation and verbal communication skills will be required to regularly liaise and coordinate with a broad range of stakeholders, including executives, contractors, APS and ADF members. Highly developed written communication skills will be required to develop internal processes and documentation, and maintain information and knowledge sharing platforms.
