Founded in 1894, Ghella operate in the construction of large public projects and specialise in underground excavation and tunnelling works. Over the course of 120 years, we have built over 130 tunnels and connected more than 1,000 km’s of highways, railways and subways.

Operating in Australia since 2010, we are working on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the country and have established a recognised presence in the local infrastructure market. Our first project in Australia, Legacy Way, was named ‘Best Tunnelling Project in the World’ in 2013 and since then we have continued to take on some of the countries’ most crucial and challenging projects.

We are currently delivering in partnership with leading construction companies, projects that make a difference to the community with some of our current projects including Cross River Rail in Brisbane, Sydney’s M6 Stage 1, Sydney Metro West - Western Sydney Airport and Eastern Tunnelling package.

**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Supervisor with a can-do attitude to supervise and coordinate project activities.

The role’s responsibilities will include:

- Develop maintenance programs & schedules for the purpose built production carousel.
- Design, integration & implementation of safety devices & systems through PLC logic.
- Develop unique safety procedures & implement them to make the workplace safe.
- Ensure foreign supplied components, enclosures, assemblies such as electrical cabinets, command devices, cranes etc, are supplied or retro fitted to comply with Australian standards, codes & project requirements.
- Interpreting & translating foreign language drawings, processes & requirements & being able to directly communicate with foreign suppliers & their counterparts.
- Directly supervise the sub-contractors to install bespoke specialised production equipment.
- Undertake comprehensive commissioning & operation of specialised equipment to ensure safe & efficient operation.
- A recognised degree in electrical engineering.
- 4+ years previous construction experience in a similar role.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
