We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager to come and join the team at our North Strathfield Head Office. This is a key role in the Procurement Team, leading and accountable for all our Ingredient spend across both the Arnott’s & Campbell’s portfolios.

The role is the key connector between our suppliers and business partners in enabling the delivery of great business outcomes - improved value, breakthrough innovation, and enabling a more secure and sustainable supply chain.

You will also play a key leadership role to foster the development of others in the team, take on broader responsibility beyond Ingredients, and a key role for those looking to progress within the Procurement Team or across the business.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Managing over $70M spend to category targets, uncover value, and limit portfolio inflation
- Accountable for buying decision across your categories and executing the Procurement Strategy
- Accountability for results for your categories KPI’s in areas such as quality, service, risk and spend
- Mitigating and managing supply risk within your categories
- Leading buying and supply decisions on all NPD requirements for your categories
- Leading cross-functional teams and managing allocated resources to deliver outcomes
- Responsible for selecting suppliers that will continue to enhance our sustainable supply chain and support our strategy
- Leading the detail of Procurement activity for your categories within the team (Category Management, RFI/RFP, Supplier Management, Cost Projections, & SAP maintenance)

**The ingredients to be successful**:

- 5 years + experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred: Business, Engineering, Ops Management, Food Science/Technology)
- 3+yrs in managing directs reports
- Senior Supply Chain, R&D, Sales & Finance experience
- Strong prior Procurement or Commercial negotiating experience
- Significant experience in organising others and completing major change projects
- Strong planning mindset
- Significant communication and influencing skills to drive positive change across business
- Instigator of change for discipline within the business & across supply base
- High level of financial accumen
- Experience in delivering a strong Continuous Improvement agenda and projects
- Experience in managing others to use and optimise systems such as SAP
- High level written skills, with preferably previous contract experience
- Strong customer centric approach
- Drives commitment both internally and with supply partners
- Experience in implementing supplier/performance management systems
