**Introduction**:
This position is temporary full time for a period of 6 months commencing as soon as possible.

As Extra Curricular Drama Coordinator for the school you will undertake an appropriate program of teaching in accordance with Trinity College Drama and Speech Syllabus. Under the direction of the Manager of Extra Curricular and the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the coordination and teaching of Extra Curricular drama across the school.

You will also be required to coordinate a small team of drama tutors who will assist in teaching Extra-Curricular Drama classes. The Extra-Curricular Drama Coordinator will be expected to coordinate five nights of selected works from all classes and facilitate the Trinity Drama Examinations presented at the end of Term 4. You will also be expected to manage the interactive Drama intranet.

**Description**:
The key responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):
Plan and prepare a teaching and learning programme for all year groups, ensuring that the requirements of the Trinity exam are met and that equality of opportunities is evident.
Plan and teach exciting and dynamic lessons which engage and challenge all pupils.
Provide a well-ordered, stimulating and safe learning environment, encouraging standards in tidiness, punctuality, presentation of work and relationships.
Plan, implement and assess the program in line with school policies and practice.
Raise the profile of extra curricular drama in the school.
Assist staff in the organisation of teaching resources, equipment and materials and in the use thereof.
Coordinate and collaborate with the music teacher in relation to special projects and events e.g. end of year productions, festivals, showcases, workshops, displays.
Communicate effectively within the school and with external agencies;
Liaise with school staff to support drama content of assemblies;
audit, secure and allocate the resources necessary to deliver an effective drama program.
Use non-teaching time to manage the Extra Curricular area of the school intranet.
Manage and communicate the Extra Curricular Timetable and coordinate casual drama tutors where it is not possible for you to deliver the session personally.
Attend and contribute to all staff meetings and training.
Actively encourage and support parental or family participation in school activities.
Ensure adherence to all student safety standards and mandatory reporting requirements.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**We are looking for someone who**:
possesses a sound comprehension of various Drama techniques and skills, knowledge and experience of teaching the Trinity exam or equivalent;
holds extra curricular teaching experience;
possesses strong administrative and organisational ability;
has an understanding of the principles of customer service;
possesses excellent oral & written communication skills;
has strong technical skills including G Suite software;
has experience in working with children of all age ranges;
has experience working in school administration desirable;
will support the co-curricular and pastoral care programs at the school;
will actively support the ethos of this Anglican Independent School; and
has a commitment to ongoing professional learning.
