Applications are sought for the full-time fixed-term Education Support Employee position of **Sports Assistant Trainee **to commence on 22 January 2025.

**OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE**

The Sports Assistant Trainee works collaboratively with staff and members of the school community to support teachers in their delivery of sporting programs and activities for students.

The Sports Assistant Trainee assists with sporting events, SIS events, and physical education and outdoor education instruction as required. This includes preparation of class equipment, assisting with camp and excursion arrangements and the safe conduct of sporting activities. The Sports Assistant Trainee is a member of the Health and Physical Education Department and reports directly to the Director of Finance under the direction of the Campus Sports Coordinators and the SIS Leader. Most work will be completed at the Mornington Campus, with involvement at Rosebud and Tyabb Campuses as needed.

**MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**

The Sports Assistant Trainee’s major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

- Assisting with administration matters relating to SIS and Sports Coordination;
- Assisting with preparation and maintenance of all equipment for sporting events, SIS events, and physical education and outdoor education instruction as required, and provision of in-person operational support, for sporting events, SIS events, and physical education and outdoor education instruction as required, including excursions, and camps; and
- performing other duties and implementing decisions as requested by the Principal or Campus Sports Coordinators and SIS Leader.

**SALARY REMUNERATION: According to the CEMEA 2022, $61,853.00 - 71,032.00 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.**
