Community Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Community Worker to join our team. The Community Worker will provide support and assistance to individuals in community settings, including homes, community centers, and other residential facilities. This role involves working closely with clients to promote their independence, well-being, and social inclusion.
- **The following locations we have available for servicing across Sydney**:_
- Lower North Shore (Mosman to Killara to Hornsby)
- Northern Beaches (Newport to Manly)
- Parramatta to Kellyville to Blacktown
- Ryde & surrounds
- Mosman to Riverview
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide support to clients in their daily activities, including household tasks, and social activities.
- Personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming and toileting (once trained)
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and services.
- Monitor and document clients' progress and report any changes in their condition.
- Encourage and facilitate clients' participation in community activities and programs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.
- Respond to clients' needs with empathy, respect, and professionalism.
**Qualifications**:
- Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to client-centered care and empowerment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and in various locations as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (if applicable).
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and those with mental health conditions.
- Knowledge of local community resources and services.
- Additional certifications relevant to specific areas of practice.

Pay: $37.00 - $58.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 - 38 per week
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Rotating roster
Supplementary Pay:
- Performance bonus
Licence/Certification:
- NSW Driver License (preferred)
Work Authorisation:
