BG&E is an innovative, employee-owned consulting engineering business. Our team of more than 650 highly skilled people, in 15 offices across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Middle East, design and deliver engineering solutions for clients in the Property, Transport, Ports and Marine, Water, Renewables and Defence sectors.

We collaborate with leading contractors, developers, architects, planners, financiers and government agencies, to create projects that will influence people’s lives.

**The Role**

The BG&E Civil team is well established with a reputation as an industry leader with our diverse client base for providing innovative design solutions in complex brownfield environments. Our projects are across the education, healthcare, residential, commercial, and public transport sectors and include everything from upgrades to existing facilities to complete new builds with construction values in excess of $100M.

As a Civil Drafter you'll be responsible for delivering packages of work and providing broader assistance across the team in assisting in achieving key project milestones. You'll also have opportunities over time to advance your career to more senior roles within the discipline.
- What to expect day to day_:

- Contribute to the design of projects that leave a significant legacy for our community.
- Document designs for Freeway/Motorway, Urban and Arterial/Highway geometry including incorporation of drainage, signs and lines, utilities and pavement designs using AutoCAD
- Incorporation of ancillary road design elements such as barriers, lighting and other road furniture into the documentation package
- Liase with engineers, drafters and other members of the design team for production of design drawings and reports
- Ensure compliance with client's documentation standards
- Assist with document control when necessary

**About you**
- 5 years or more experience as a Civil Drafter across a range or projects preparing detailed drawings.
- Possess a Civil Diploma or other recognised relevant qualification
- Relevant design and drafting software competency in particular AutoCAD
- Possess qualities of critical thinking, be detail oriented, have interpersonal, technical and time management skills.
