**Librarian - Permanent Part-Time x 2**

We have two fantastic opportunities to join our Library team.

**Position 1 - Pennant Hills Librarian - Based at Pennant Hills Library**

**Salary**: $1,736 to $1,946 per fortnight (based on 42 hours per fortnight) plus superannuation.

- Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience._

**Position 2 - Information Services Librarian - Based at Hornsby Library**

**Salary**: $1,612 to $1,807 per fortnight (based on 39 hours per fortnight) plus superannuation.

**About Us**

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

**About the roles**

These two roles are professional positions that rely heavily on teamwork and require that work be prioritised according to customer need. Tasks must be undertaken in a timely manner.

Both positions have the following major components:

- Information and customer services
- Supervision
- Maintenance of collections and facilities
- Staff and customer training
- Support of library services and programs

**About you**

You will be involved with staff supervision and training, library promotion, collection management, and the support of activities and events.

A Degree in Information Science or its equivalent (accepted by ALIA for professional membership) is essential.
