**UNDERGROUND FITTER - WESTERN AUSTRALIA**

BDS Mechanical has full time positions for Underground Fitters to join our team in Western Australia. These are permanent positions with multiple paths to progress in your career. A perfect opportunity to join a large, secure, reputable company.

**About us**:
BDS Mechanical Repairs is a growing, privately owned business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we’re never too far away.
- Relevant Australian recognised qualification
- Current drivers license
- Minimum 12 months post-trade experience in the mining industry.
- Full Working Rights
- Experience on underground and mining equipment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Extra skills, experience, tickets and licences will be advantageous

**Your duties will include**:

- Perform diagnostics and inspections in accordance with the maintenance planning systems to ensure underground equipment and related systems remain in top condition
- Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical problems on a wide range of underground equipment
- Keep data and records of all work completed
- Ensure safety is constantly being practice in the workspace
