**The Opportunity**
Transport for New South Wales is seeking for a Manager QA/Testing to join the Service Delivery team. This role is a permanent full time and is based at Macquarie Park with flexible work arrangements.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end test strategy, plan, test execution and reporting for programs under development, using appropriate testing tools and techniques while ensuring ongoing maintenance, control and adherence to quality assurance processes and practices to reduce defects, measure and improve the quality of the software being tested and maintain quality standards.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Analyse business requirements specifications (BRS) and existing functionality to develop testing strategies and plans that will measure and improve software quality.
- Develop and deliver test schedules aligned to project and release timelines.
- Develop quality mindset in project team members.
- Ensure new and amended systems, configurations, packages or services, together with any interfaces, perform as specified (including to security and nonfunctional requirements), and that the risks associated with deployment are adequately understood and have agreed mitigations.
- Prepare and submit detailed test reports that describe testing statistics and asses the quality of the software under test.
- Manage the defect lifecycle ensuring defect reports have the required detail, are triaged to the correct priority, are assigned to the correct development team and are progresses to closure in a timely manner.
- Design and implement test plans and strategies to evaluate usability and fitness for purpose of software.
- Design and implement UAT test plans.
- Work with users to deliver UAT, log and triage UAT defects to closure.
- Manage vendor test resources to deliver projects.
- Maintain the ICT quality management policies and processes that drive improvements in performance and customer satisfaction.
- Test ICT processes for compliance against documented standards and provide input to improvement programs that enhance the quality of services to the business.

The role may/will have a variable number of direct and indirect reports depending on business/ project requirements.
**About You**:
To be successful in the role;
- Demonstrated Test Manger experience delivering projects for multiple project managers including experience in managing vendor test resources.
- Extensive experience in using HP Quality Centre, TOSCA, qTest and Jira for test case management and proven track record in SAP test management.
- Strong analytical ability, integration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
**Salary and Benefits**
The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9 ($138,670 - $155,309) plus 10% superannuation and annual leave loading.
