**Job Description for the Position**: Mechanical Engineering Crane Technician

**Position**: permanent full time based on 38 hrs / week

**Salary**:A$ 80.000 - A$ 90.000;
- p.a.

**Address**: 8 Ainslie Close, Somersby 2250, NSW

**Duties: Duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of POTAIN self-erecting cranes and tower cranes
- Ensuring that the installation of self-erecting cranes and tower cranes meet the engineering designs and finished works are within specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.
- Assembling and installing of brand new self-erecting cranes and tower cranes, incl. its mechanical components, crane controls and hydraulic power systems.
- Diagnostics and Troubleshooting of Equipment malfunctions and co-ordination of repairs.
- Assisting Mechanical Engineers and Structural Engineers in the data collection to assess the self-erecting cranes and tower cranes to comply with the major inspection certificates as outlined in the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Reviewing drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists
- Estimating material costs, quantities, and machine requirements whilst undergoing major inspections and or full crane component refurbishments.

**Qualifications / List of Skills**:
**General**:

- Being self-motivated, reliable and performing a good work ethic and taking pride in your work.
- Being able to work within a team environment
- Proven track record in diagnostics and repairs of equipment
- Ability to Communicate in an excellent and professional manner
- Able to Communicate fluently in English

**Experience**:

- Proven Record in the Repairs / Maintenance of heavy plant and lifting equipment (in particular, POTAIN Self Erecting Cranes and Tower Cranes)
- Supervision of the refurbishment of Heavy Plant and Equipment.
- Experience in the _POTAIN, COMEDIL _Crane Range

**Education**:

- Tertiary Engineering Degree

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Somersby, NSW 2250

Expected Start Date: 01/11/2024
