You will be working for an international recycling company in North Sydney. This is a permanent opportunity.

**Your new role**
The role will support the organisation in all WHS matters internally, including reviewing current processes and procedures as well as implementing new measures and initiatives. The WHS Coordinator will report to the HSE Manager to adopt a business partnering approach with internal stakeholders in continuous development of Safety processes and procedures. The aim is to support the HSE Manager in driving organisational safety initiatives, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees, customers, partners and contractors. You will also need to ensure that compliance is met in all WHS matters across a diverse range of locations environments and settings.

Strong ability to understand and interpret WHS governance and operational policies and procedures is essential in order to facilitate, monitor and support management practices and projects aimed at achieving an organisational culture focused on WHS. Support WHS strategies and their implementation of change processes to improve WHS, being aware of cross functional impacts of change.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience in a similar safety role within recycling, manufacturing or a similar heavy industrial environment such as warehousing or construction
- Tertiary qualifications relating to Workplace Health and Safety
- Cert IV in training is desirable
- Certified 5 Whys/ICAM/Taproot Investigation preferred
