**About the role**:
The primary role of the Horticultural facilitator is to work closely with the community Development Program’s horticultural, gardening and farming projects to fulfill community and contractual obligations by providing advice, training and other supports as required.

**This position is based in a remote community in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.**

**Responsibilities**:
Provide professional advice and expertise to existing nursery, farming and horticultural projects across the full suite of ALPA sites.
- Deliver horticulture related training to ALPA staff and program participants as required.
- Consult with community stakeholders around the provision of new, horticulture related projects.
- Project plan and oversee new and existing projects as required.
- Be a champion of the ALPA values and demonstrate a commitment to work health and safety.

**Skills and Experience**:

- A thorough knowledge of horticulture,gardening or farming
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training.
- Effective cross-cultural communication skills.
- Highly developed project management and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origin.
