**Position Information**:
Canley Vale High School is a co-educational, comprehensive high school in South West Sydney, proudly serving the local diverse, multicultural community. The school successfully caters for the academic, social and emotional needs of approximately 1588 students including 96% students from a non-English speaking background and 6 students of Aboriginal heritage. The student population has an annual average growth of 4% which is composed of enrolments from local, international and new arrivals to Australia.
Canley Vale High School offers a broad and balanced curriculum including four VET pathways; accelerated classes; designated EAL/D classes; timetabled Literacy classes; High Potential and Gifted classes and a newly established Support Unit.
Highly dedicated and collaborative staff work to foster a caring and inclusive whole school culture which values high achievement, strong relationships, positive wellbeing practices and excellence in education.
The school community is highly aspirational and educational partnerships with the local community and a range of organisations support student success. The school consistently achieves high value-added results and 90% of HSC graduates enter tertiary study.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. Approval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8) and Food Technology. Approval or willingness to teach Textile Design. Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Hospitality-Food and Beverage and Hospitality-Commercial Cookery providing the qualification entry benchmark* is met.
2. Demonstrated capacity in effective classroom practice that includes the integration of technology and meets the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of students
3. Capacity to work collaboratively within the faculty and contribute to the implementation of whole school initiatives which support the school's strategic directions.
4. Highly developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to collaborate and work as a dynamic member of an experienced faculty team and wider school community.
