Position Information

Jamison High School is a proud, comprehensive, co-educational 7-12 high school located at the foot of the Blue Mountains in Western Sydney. We acknowledge that our school is on the land of the Mulgoa people from the Darug Nation. The school is currently at 860 students. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students represent 10% of our population. Technology in the curriculum is a strong focus at our school and is well supported by the Bring Your Own Device program. Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8) and Industrial Technology-Timber. Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Construction-General provided the qualification entry benchmark is met.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of a faculty and contribute to developing, implementing and evaluating high level teaching programs and resources within the faculty, which support student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to contribute to faculty and whole-school programs and build positive relationships with staff, students and parents.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
