Female Support Worker Needed

**Position Overview**:
You will play a crucial role in supporting an NDIS participant with complex behavioural needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored, high-quality care and support that enhances the participant's quality of life while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement behaviour support plans and strategies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide direct support to the participant, including personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement.
- Implement and follow individualised behaviour support plans and strategies.
- Monitor and document the participant's progress, behaviours, and any incidents.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, therapists, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to support.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for the participant.
- Assist with developing and promoting the participant's independence and life skills.
- Respond effectively to high-intensity behaviours and crises, following established protocols.
- Participate in regular training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in behaviour support.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with high behaviour support needs.
- Training in crisis intervention and positive behaviour support.
- Experience working with individuals with complex and challenging behaviours.
- Demonstrated ability to implement behaviour support plans and strategies.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
- Understanding of NDIS frameworks and standards.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual
Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week

- Working with Children Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
