The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an Information Technology Coordinator to provide a critical role at Marngoneet Correctional Centre.

**About the business unit**

Marngoneet Correctional Centre is a 559 male medium security facility that houses a mix of sentenced and remand prisoners, the role of the facility is to contain prisoners safely, securely, and humanely, focusing on the individual needs of the men with the aim of providing a successful transition back into the community or on their continued journey through the prison system. As part of Marngoneet, the Karreenga Annexe contains an additional 300 protection prisoners bringing the entire prison population to 859 spread across two prison sites but managed by the one leadership team.

**About the role**

The IT Coordinator will fill the role of ensuring effective IT support is delivered in accordance with the Corrections Victoria IT Support Policy and Technology Services Policies. The role provides assistance in IT support to staff and prisoners and associated resources.

As the IT coordination some of your key accountabilities will include:

- Provide technical advice and support to staff in relation to department IT resources and local IT resources.
- Manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the prisoner network, prisoner computers and stand-alone systems to ensure compliance with local policy.
- Conduct regular audits of prisoner computers, prisoner network server and other IT Resources, including completing reports.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of **three doses** of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

Acceptable evidence includes:

- COVID-19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
- Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
