**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Opportunities available for passionate Disability Support Workers to join the Minda team in our Supported Independent Living Services. The main purpose of Client Services is to provide support to people with intellectual disability and to maximise choice and inclusion to achieve their aspirations and goals, optimising a person centred approach. **Positions are part time and available in Brighton North and surrounding Southern suburbs including Blackwood ONLY.**

**In this Role you will be responsible for**:

- Engaging person-centred active support in areas such as emotional behaviour, education, cooking and domestic duties
- Planning and executing activities for the participants
- Ensure the effective communication is maintained at all times with all stakeholders
- Adapt service delivery and support as appropriate to meet participant needs and preferences
- Encouraging clients to make choices and decisions about all aspects of their life
- Work collaboratively with others to ensure a consistent approach to service delivery, which empowers participants to be involved in decision making and choice
- Energetic, positive, and creative personality
- Able to commit to a 7-day rotating roster, passive shifts
- Experience supporting people with disability utilising a professional and empathetic approach
- Possesses a good understanding of the NDIS Framework
- Experience with stakeholder communication
- Experience with medication administration
- Experienced in completion of documentation

**Skills and Qualifications Required**
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or Valid DHS Disability Screening)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current Driver's Licence
- Unrestricted Working Rights
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Certificate III or higher in Disability or equivalent (Individual Support, Disability Services, Aging Care and/or Community Services).
- Medication Competency (Learning Simplified
- Administer Medication)
