Motel Manager

Motel is a somewhat busy 18 room motel, situated in the heart of Snowy Mountains Region.

We are looking for a motel manager who can run the business to a high standard, as if it were their own, Light kitchen work is required for the breakfasts. It’s expected on quiet days (3 rooms or less) you will clean and housekeeping staff available for busy days. Bed linen & towels are outsourced.

The people we are looking for should possess the following attributes:

- Ability to effectively manage time and staff
- Well presented, professional, warm and friendly customer service skills
- Great administrative skills and computer competent.
- Experience with motel booking system an advantage, but training can be provided.
- Basic handyman skills
- Understand that motel management can be 24/7 and be willing to assist with late check-ins or emergencies if required.
- Non-smokers preferred but not a deal breaker

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

- Management of daily operations and performance of motel.
- Reception duties and customer enquiries, checking in guests and answering calls.
- Handling payments and financial reconciliations.
- Ensure rooms, grounds and pool are always well maintained and presented to the highest standard.
- Making basic cooked breakfast.
- Ordering and replenishing stock as required.
- Manage the efficient housekeeping team (on big days).
- Assist housekeeping by stripping rooms, removing rubbish, washing dishes.
- Oversee the laundry, including washing/drying of toweling and pillow cases including hanging on washing line.
- Attend to general maintenance as required and liaise with tradesmen when necessary to ensure everything is kept in good working order

This is a live-in onsite role, an Air conditioned, one-bedroom with a Kitchen and living is provided (ground floor).

Remuneration will be $50000 - $65,000 pa - Plus super and accommodation on site.

A hand-over period will be offered, with full training on our processes. The owners (based close by) can provide occasional relief during times of leave, and a couple of house-keeping staff are able to cover for the occasional day off.

This role is best for a Single but couple could be considered.
