Working for Water Corporation means you'll be part of an essential workforce on a very important mission - to secure Western Australia’s most precious resource in the face of climate change. Water Corporation is the principal supplier of water, wastewater, drainage and bulk irrigation to homes, businesses, and farms. We manage a large and diverse $48 billion asset base that extends across Western Australia. Our long-standing commitment to sustainable water services makes WA a great place to live and invest.
A role at Water Corporation can unlock the door to ongoing long term career development opportunities; we also support training and development, flexible work arrangements, health and lifestyle programs and generous company benefits
**About the role**:
We have a permanent opportunity for a visionary and commercially astute leader to join our Customer and Community Group as the Head of Commercial Development. **What the role will involve**:
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable plans that deliver value for customers, community, and stakeholders.
- Lead complex commercial projects from due diligence through to execution, ensuring alignment with government policy, risk appetite, and long-term value.

- Build and lead a centre of expertise in commercial governance, negotiation, and strategic customer frameworks.
- Cultivate high-level relationships with government, industry, and internal stakeholders to influence outcomes and shape policy.
**Your skills and experience**:
You will have proven extensive experience in commercial analysis, strategic negotiations, and infrastructure development within complex stakeholder environments. Your strong understanding and experience with water-related infrastructure and regulatory frameworks will play an important part in this role.
As an excellent communicator, you will have extensive stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior teams, executive, board, and ministerial stakeholders. You’ll provide influential and strategic leadership, both internally and externally. Your collaborative, future-focused mindset with a passion for delivering public value will pave your route to success in this role.
This is more than a leadership role—it’s an opportunity to shape the commercial future of a vital public utility. You’ll work with a high-performing team, influence state-wide development, and contribute to a sustainable future for our communities
If you are interested in the above opportunity, please submit a covering letter and resume that best demonstrates your skills and experience as well as your ability to meet the requirements of the role.
