**Occupational Therapist Assistant**

Seeking an applicant who's taking **Occupation Therapy **Couse in UNI or **Early Childhood Education** to work as **occupational therapy assistant** to join our team and impact young lives. In order to develop integrated, all-encompassing treatment plans, you will work with our occupational therapist and other health professionals to plan sessions, and work with a high level of independence. Your main responsibility will be to support our clients during their therapy supported journey through early development by delivering therapy activities that are adapted to their individual needs and keeping track of their progress.

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver high quality services adhering to therapy plans provided by therapists
- Monitor the progress towards client goals
- Research and recommend tasks and activities based on clients’ physical and mental condition
- Demonstrate to clients and primary caregivers how to use special equipment
- Engage family members and caregivers in clients’ care plans
- Check stock levels and refill office’s supply inventory
- Conduct administrative tasks (e.g. updating records)
- Maintain a secure health environment for clients

**Requirements and skills**
- Previous experience as an occupational therapist assistant or a similar role with children
- Great knowledge of federal, state, and governmental health standards
- Ability to stand for long hours and work on the floor
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- A compassionate and resilient personality
- State license to work as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Experience working with kids
- Working with children check (paid)
- Police check - clear
- First aid certificate
- NDIS Worker Number
- CPR

**Shift Schedule**
- **Ideally 11am - 6:30PM**:

- Dayshift
- Weekends Off

**Can start ASAP open for Fulltime or Part Time within the shift provided**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Apprenticeship, Internship, Graduate
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

**Salary**: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
