**About the role**
This position will suit someone who is looking to develop their career in Sustainability Consulting working in ESG & Strategic Advisory, ESD as well as Climate and carbon related work. You will play a key role on multiple client teams in Melbourne and globally, focused on the development of the ESD and ESG market across Asia Pacific, including client account management as well as a focus on sustainability benchmarking (On an organisational and asset level), sustainability strategy development and implementation, sustainability reporting, environmental/social impact assessments, and other areas of sustainability consulting.**_Key activities will include:_**
- Project-related research, such as desk-based research (including background research and horizon/trend scanning), competitor benchmarking, data collection, and analysis
- Writing, such as drafting reports, preparing proposals and presentations, and contributing to the development of webinars, blogs, and white papers
- Designing client-facing deliverables, including PowerPoint decks, surveys, and discussion guides
- Working directly with clients, participating in client-facing meetings and activities such as weekly client check-in meetings, answering client queries, stakeholder interviews and workshops

**Skills and experience**
- Must Haves:_
- A relevant qualification in Engineering, Sustainability, Landscape Architecture, Environment, Science, Urban Planning or a related built environment discipline is essential
- A solid understanding of ESG & Strategic Advisory either through work experience, technical training, or academic pursuit gained through 1 -3 years of work experience
- Experience project managing mid-scale projects with support from more senior team members
- Industry accreditations / experience using frameworks and tools such as Green Star, WELL, One Planet Living, BESS, eTool or similar
- Experience with research and evaluation, supported by strong analytical skills
- Previous experience in a consulting environmental is desirable
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple project demands and deliver on deadlines
- Ability to track project consulting hours against budget as well as ensuring timelines are met
- A positive team player who is able to build effective working relationships
- High fluency with common computer programs, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Nice to haves:

- Experience developing project proposals
- An understanding of design thinking principles and ability to understand and adopt a design-led approach to problem solving
- GIS proficiency
