About us

Skills Generation (RTO41008) is a leading provider of VET Training services in Queensland, delivering a broad range of qualifications across Community Services, Aviation, Engineering and Information Technology. We are part of a consortium delivering the Australian Government’s Home Care Workforce Support Program, an initiative that aims to provide an additional 2500 workers for the Home and Community Care workforce across Queensland over the next two years. Our Head Office is in Maroochydore.

We are looking for a Brisbane South / Gold Coast based Trainer and Assessor to deliver Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability)

This dynamic and autonomous role requires regular face to face contact with learners to support and assess them in a workplace.

Qualifications & experience

**Essential**:
A suitable qualification in Ageing and/or Home and Community Care (HACC)

A minimum of three years’ full time work history in ageing and HACC support

Current industry skills, knowledge and experience

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or a higher level qualification in adult / vocational education and training

An ability to represent Skills Generation professionally in Ageing and HACC workplaces

English language skills appropriate to the job role

Frequent travel within Brisbane, Gold Coast & the surrounding region will be required

**Highly regarded**:

- Experience in both an online and face-to-face learning environment
- Experience with Recognition of Prior Learning
- High-level computer proficiency
- Tasks & responsibilities

Support and manage students in an online and face to face workplace learning environment from enrolment through to completion.

Support and facilitate student engagement in their studies.

Engage with industry to support student vocational placement and training.

Assess student submissions.

Manage the RPL process from end to end.

Maintain all required documentation.

Participate as part of a team in validation and moderation activities.

Continue your professional growth and development.
