**An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Assistant to join Austin Cancer Clinical Trials Department. We are seeking a fulltime (40hrs a week with monthly ADO), however part-time may be considered on negotiation.**

**About our Centre**

Austin Cancer Clinical Trials (CCTC) has a reputation of excellence with expertise in managing Oncology and Haematology clinical trials from First-in-human Phase I to Phase 3. We have over 200 clinical trials in progress including Pharmaceutical Company sponsored, Collaborative Group and Investigator-initiated trials. All the specialised leading-edge cancer treatment and research conducted through the Austin CCTC is complemented by wellness programs at Austin to support patients in body, mind and spirit.

**About the role**

The successful applicant will become part of an established tumour stream team, led by a Team Leader and will support the management and coordination of clinical trial activities.

**Duties/Responsibilities include**:

- Assist with the management of biological samples from trial patients who have been treated with investigational and standard therapies, under the supervision of the Trial Coordinator.
- Assist Trial Coordinators with patient visit preparation; collate relevant paperwork (visit proformas, diaries, questionnaires etc) and blood kits prior to each visit according to protocol.
- Assist with the timely submission of medical record documents to Scanned Medical Record (SMR).
- Prepare paperwork for reimbursement of patient expenses.
- Organise bookings of appointments as directed by Trial Coordinator.

**Qualifications/Skills/Experience**
- Highly desirable Lab Assistant qualification/experience
- Advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Word & Excel and experience with databases.
- Enthusiasm, willingness to learn and contribute to the research team
- Excellent organisation, time-management skills and attention to detail and an ability to prioritise workload
- Clinical Trial experience advantageous.
