Team Leader Payments

**The role**

As our new Payments Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the Payments team, effectively managing performance ensuring optimal cost, quality and customer experience, along with delivering business insight as well as working with the broader Claims and Assessing teams to help keep the claim progressing, ensuring the best cost and Customer outcomes.

You will:

- Lead, motivate, coach and develop Payment Consultants, in a way that aligns with ensuring our people are engaged, capable, skilled and practicing Company Values
- Ensure invoices are compliant with ATO requirements, and authorised amounts are paid in a timely manner and cost leakage is detected and flagged appropriately
- Cross-train team-members across multiple teams to sustain a flexible workforce including conducting and/or coordinating process and systems training, and refreshers as required
- Create and manage tools for monitoring and tracking productivity, workload allocation, and quality outcomes and contributing to the creation of team & individual operator KPI’s
- Drive a strong customer focus for both internal and external customers
- Encourage and proactively support change and process improvement initiatives
- Contribute to Cost control frameworks and internal Knowledge process updates that support optimum cost outcomes.Undertake recruitment activities and reporting as required

- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, coach and develop others to achieve team results
- Insurance industry experience desirable
- Strong relationship building skills that enable effective stakeholder engagement
- Sound analytical and reporting capabilities and able to problem solve in a complex working environmentProven ability to influence and successfully implement change along with the ability to manage conflict and negotiate
