**Job Description**:
Are you an experienced Licensed Industrial Electrician or Mechanical Maintenance Fitter Team Lead looking to grow your career?

An exciting opportunity exists at our Altona site for a Maintenance Team Lead to organise and support the day-to-day running of the service centre’s Maintenance Team, through effective planning, scheduling, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Site Production Manager and with a dotted line into the Site Manager, you will be responsible for organising and maintaining the day-to-day running of the Service Centre’s plant and equipment.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Developing and maintaining a planning and scheduling routine and preventive maintenance of equipment, prioritizing, and estimating work and technical assistance when developing job plans
- Maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program
- Maintain maintenance costs to the budgeted level by thorough planning of labour, cost effective parts procurement and stock levels, contractor utilisation and a mínimal amount of unscheduled stoppages.
- Compliance to Safe Operating Procedures.
- Lead the set up and maintenance of Spare Parts stores
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Assist Maintenance Planner updating PMs and planning maintenance shuts
- Attend daily/weekly production meetings
- Works closely with the site Leadership Team
- Support afternoon and night shift maintenance personnel as required
- Good understanding and use of the MEX maintenance system
- Hold a current trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter or Licenced Electrician
- Strong team leader
- Extensive experience working within a strong, systems-based safety culture.
- Experience working as a maintenance tradesman in a production environment.
- Understanding of both mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair.
- Professional work practices and a strong work ethic.
