Workers Compensation Payroll

**About the Opportunity**

Based at either our Villawood Immigration Detention Centre (VIDC) or Melbourne Immigration Detention Centre (MITA) site, your main focus will be managing the workers compensation weekly benefits portfolios. You will identify and correct barriers to prompt wage reimbursements to Serco from the workers compensation insurer. You will correct errors to allow for reimbursement to occur as well as reconciling payments from the insurer against Serco claims. Additionally, you will work with the Injury Management Advisor’s in the management of rejections received from the insurer.

**About you - your ideal skills & experience**
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Personnel (Desirable)
- Experience with payment of wages and calculation of PIAWE
- Payroll experience is beneficial
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in workers compensation and/or injury management, including experience dealing with specific state-based legislation
- Proven understanding and experience in workers compensation claim management practices and principles with a self-insured employer or commercial insurer
- Experience in completing Payroll Functions and calculations of PIAWE
