**About the organisation**:
Chandler Macleod is proudly partnering with a regional Government organisation for the appointment of an on-going Manager - Economics and Pricing. This is an integral management role that will lead multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the effective delivery of the organisations financial and regulatory functions. This opportunity is for a senior executive with established expertise in pricing, economics and leadership who is confident to undertake critical responsibilities within a timely manner.

**About the role**:
The key output of this role is the management of the Pricing Submission. The Economics and Pricing team is responsible for producing the Submission and ensuring that the revenue generated from customers is sufficient to cover long-term costs.

The Manager Economics & pricing will be responsible for:

- Manage the full life cycle of the development of the Pricing Submission
- Establish organisation wide working group structures and communities of expertise, set and manage deadlines for other executives/managers across the business for cross disciplinary input
- Manage and develop accurate financial models to monitor and predict changes in expenditure, energy consumption and financial indicators that affect prices
- Review and regularly compare actuals to forecasts as set out in previous Pricing Submission
- Manage the annual tariff approval process and establish tariff structures that are economically efficient and cost reflective to maximise revenue
- Manage the organisations economic regulation, inclusive of non-financial functions
- Prepare and submit the annual Regulator Accounts to economic regulator
- Manage annual and quarterly budgeting and variation analysis
- Lead financial analysis of revenue billing data to ensure revenue optimisation
- Provide economic consulting services to executives, including general advice regarding current economic climate and future trends

**About you**:
Ideally you will have relevant and recent experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations, as well as:

- Tertiary qualifications in economics, accounting, finance or another quantitative discipline
- Ability to practically implement economic theories coupled with superlative quantitative skills
- Industry background in utilities such as gas, water or energy would be highly advantageous
- Understanding of Victorian Framework of Economic regulation highly desired
- Experience working for an economic regulator with well-developed project management skills highly desired
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, set clear objectives and priorities to ensure the smooth operation of the team to meet operational deadlines
- Ability to prepare formal documentation to the highest standard for submission to Business working groups, Stakeholders, Board and Executive
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage senior stakeholder relationships
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence
