**The Company**

Our client is a National food manufacturing company supporting some of the most well known and loved brands in Australia. Currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team. This role will be responsible for leading the production team & helping them achieve their KPI's.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Production Manager your focus will be on:

- Effectively managing a Team Leader & indirectly a team of 50 with a focus on continued development across people to build a strong team consistent with growth across the site.
- Help lead 5s & drive lean manufacturing methodologies
- Drive a safety-first culture and promote staff to identify and implement OH&S improvements throughout the operation.
- Work cohesively with the Maintenance team to develop and implement strategies to meet common goals across plant performance.
- Implement and monitor strategies to reduce staff turnover and ensure labour cost base is productive, efficient, and cost competitive.
- Contribute to plant improvement initiatives through active leadership and implementation of LEAN and CI methodologies.
- Improve engagement and culture through leadership, training and being a good mentor for the production team.

**Your Background**
- Proven experience in LEAN manufacturing and delivering change as well as implementing Continuous Improvement.
- Safety is Paramount so during the interview stage you must be able to demonstrate how you have driven a culture around safety
- Strong experience in 5s
- A strong leadership background with an ability to coach and develop Team Leaders and Operators to deliver results. Must be able to explain how you have handled conflict resolution and how you have coached team members to better themselves.
- Experience with driving and monitoring key performance measures focusing on Lost Time Injuries, labour cost and waste.
- Experience with implementing and monitoring performance of the quality, safety and production team, including the setting and measurement of team objective’s and KPI’s.
- Strong communication, coaching, consultation and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders, as well as being able to connect with people at different levels.
- A hands-on leader with a can-do attitude.
