The Role

We are looking for a part time Grounds and Maintenance officer to join our Newport Village Team for a 5-day working fortnight permanent part-time role. This role offers the opportunity to work in a team and provide grounds and gardening maintenance services in our beautiful village.

What you will do
- Maintain and implement scheduled grounds maintenance and presentation of the stunning gardens including pruning plantings, hedging, weeding, propagating, fertilising, and watering.
- Working as part of our Maintenance Team undertaking maintenance works for our Residents.

What we like about you
- An interest in pruning, weeding, hedging, minor paving repairs, tree management, planting, transplanting and propagating plants
- Fit and be able to operate garden machinery, work from a ladder and do pole extension work for long periods of time
- Self starter / work autonomously
- Attention to detail / follow through & up / ability research solutions.
- Use high pressure washer
- Contractor management / sign in
- Understanding of WHS / permits
- Enjoy physical, hands-on work, being in the outdoors
- Experienced and self-driven who works well autonomously, under pressure and meets deadlines.
- Current QLD drivers licence
- Reliable and personable ensuring a positive experience to our residents
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
