About the role?

The Quality Assurance (QA) and Technical Manager will manage QA with Nando’s ANZ suppliers, ensuring the highest quality, development and documentation of procedures for restaurants. This position will also ensure compliance to animal welfare, food safety and health authority regulations and will contribute to the due diligence required when sourcing and developing new products, equipment and procedures.- Governance & risk - Keep Food Safety Program compliant in accordance with legislation and FSANZ standards, and liaise with Operations Excellence team to ensure compliance in the field- Quality assurance - Be the first point of call for Nando’s suppliers on food specification and technical issues, and ensure Nando’s standards are met- Technical & restaurant operations - Work with Operations Excellence Manager to develop procedures and processes for restaurant implementation and develop procedures for any new equipment- Commercial value-add - Work with Head of Food Development and Head of Procurement to source ingredients for new products by providing technical input into the selection process

Who are we looking for?- Ideally will hold a bachelor’s degree (Food Science / Technology, Nutrition).- Solid Operational experience is required in a restaurant environment, specifically quality assurance experience in a multi-site environment is preferred- Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written-
- Ability to bring projects to timely conclusion, and to prepare concise reports outlining action recommendations and full justification- Able to work autonomously whilst ensuring effective information flow and interaction with immediate supervisor, field operations, other departments etc.

This is a full-time permanent role, based in our awesome office in Abbotsford with flexible work arrangements. There is an inherent requirement for some travel to our restaurants around the country in this role.
