**About the role**:
As an Environmental Business Partner, you'll be a trusted expert and a guiding presence across our organisation. The role will provide environmental support to Operations and Maintenance Contract for our Electricity Utility Client. Your knowledge will help shape and develop meaningful environmental standards that support our shared commitment to sustainability. Working closely with teams across our Group, you’ll ensure that environmental practices are not only consistent but also genuinely effective—from high-level strategy to on-the-ground implementation. You'll collaborate with HSE Business Partners and operations teams, offering thoughtful support on complex issues and helping to identify and manage environmental risks with care and clarity. This is a role for someone who thrives on connection, purpose, and making a real difference.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on supporting others and working closely with the Operations Team. The role requires frequent travel (driving) and overnight stays across East, North and South of Regional Victoria.

**As an Environmental Business Partner, you will**:

- Partnering with the Operations team and offer trusted environmental guidance and support across the business.
- Bring a calm, expert voice to help identify environmental risks and develop thoughtful, practical solutions.
- Create and refine meaningful tools: procedures, work instructions, and project-specific environmental plans.
- Host inclusive toolbox meetings to foster awareness and learning.
- Review our practices with care—ensuring our teams meet compliance obligations with confidence.
- Review and update environmental procedures and develop environmental work instructions as required.
- Track and celebrate our progress through clear environmental KPIs and reports.
- Conduct assurance activities that support continuous improvement.
- Build relationships with regulators, helping us stay accountable and informed.
- Collate and prepare monthly environmental reports back to Head Office.

**About you**:

- A background in environmental roles—ideally within construction, infrastructure, or utilities.
- The confidence to work independently, while always keeping people in mind.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others on the journey to environmental excellence.
- Experience working with Environmental Management Systems (EMS 14001).
- Formal training as a lead auditor is a plus.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Engineering (or similar).
- A solid understanding of environmental legislation, and a commitment to compliance and integrity
