Credit Officer

_All-rounder. Large mining based customer ledger. Stakeholder engagement, collections, allocations, reconciliations, claims, general inquiries & more._

**The Opportunity**:
A fantastic opportunity exists to join our talented and high performing Credit & Accounts Receivable team in our **Brisbane Office**. Take responsibility for a large mining-based customer ledger (predominantly), where you will be tasked with all collections, allocations, and reconciliation of accounts for that ledger. Following up on claims and general enquiries will also form part of the role responsibilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a service-oriented person, who prides themselves on their ability to develop strong, positive, successful business relationships with customers and stakeholders, and who enjoys considering themselves as a Business Partner to their customer base.

**Other responsibilities include**:

- Manage your customer ledger
- Prompt collection of payments
- Reporting tasks, including end of month
- General administration duties
- Account reconciliations
- Handle enquiries and disputes
- Minimise and manage bad debt
- Develop strong stakeholder relationships

**Required skills and experience to be successful**:

- Experience in a similar credit role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Friendly and professional phone manner
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and trust
- Strong negotiating skills
- Well-developed numerical skills
- Intermediate excel skills
- Organised and proactive approach to work
- Very good attention to detail
